Linda will tell you she’s not worked a day in the last fifteen years....except for those few days when she was forced to be an administrator.  For over twenty years she’s been a facilitator, consultant, and more recently an accredited executive coach.

Linda creates people power within organizations by creating opportunities for individuals to hone their leadership skills through dialogue – in the classroom, in a coaching session, in women’s leadership circles, or in the ‘Think Tank Summit’.  Sustainability demands we communicate with each other in face-to-face dialogue about what matters most - how to be successful both personally and organizationally.

As co-author of the recent book ‘Be the Leader they Love!’  Linda believes there are some key strategies to successful leadership but all focused on communication.

She has a reputation for asking the tough questions; everyone agrees she ‘talks softly, but carries a big stick’.   Her curiosity, belief in the human spirit, and passion for igniting others all contribute to your success as a leader.

Linda is most proud of a Mentor-Coach Program she designed to support succession planning in organizations....again with a focus on inspiring dialogue for growth.

A Personal message from Linda:

Growing up in a small mining community, Linda and her siblings would take much joy in sitting outside the local hotel and watching ‘human dynamics’ play out.  Her grandmother tells the story of Linda, at about four or five years old, bringing home an elderly lady who was a ‘dumpster diver’ for breakfast.  The thing she enjoys most about travelling is the people she meets along the way.  Linda has always been a believer in the human potential.

Linda is a graduate of the Human Resources Certificate Program at the University of Alberta and the Graduate Executive Coach Program at Royal Roads University in Victoria.  Her experience has spanned several provinces, many industries and a variety of roles including sales, leadership and for the past sixteen years, a small business owner with clients across Canada.

The most exciting experience of her career was an assignment in Kazakistan working with a team of administrative assistants to meet the ‘Canadian’ expectations of their head office.  The memories of visiting their orphanages in the evening, teaching 80 Kazak children how to sing ‘O Canada’ on July 1st, dancing to disco music in 45 degree weather and sipping beer on outdoor patios in the evening with ex-pats from around the world, will stay for a lifetime.

Linda describes life as ‘joyfully full’ with two grown sons and five fabulous grandchildren who all live within 300 km; there is much laughter and joy in her life.   Her ‘life partner’ Lorn shares her love of adventure and travel so holidays are spent camping in their Westfalia Van in the summer and flying to ‘hot’ spots in the winter.
